Review and Content Rules

Rules for genuine experiences, neutral invitations and trustworthy public content.

Purpose and scope

These Rules apply to reviewers, merchants, merchant representatives and anyone submitting reviews, questions, answers, replies, reports, photographs or other content through Euro.Reviews.

Their purpose is to preserve an accurate record of genuine customer experience. A negative opinion is not a violation. Euro.Reviews does not remove criticism merely because a merchant disputes it.

Who may submit a review

• A reviewer must describe their own recent and genuine purchase, product use or interaction with the relevant merchant.
• A verified-purchase label is used only where Euro.Reviews can connect the submission to reliable order or invitation data.
• Owners, employees, close family members, competitors and persons with another material conflict of interest must not review the affected business or product.
• One experience should not be fragmented into repetitive submissions intended to manipulate a score.

Useful and permitted content

A review may be positive, neutral or negative. It should be relevant, understandable and based on what the reviewer actually experienced. Reasonable opinion, criticism and description of a dispute are permitted.

• Explain what happened and, where useful, which product, delivery, communication or service aspect influenced the rating.
• Use only photographs or files that you are entitled to share and that are relevant to the reviewed product or experience.
• Avoid publishing order numbers, private email addresses, phone numbers, payment information or personal data about employees and other persons.
• Correct or update a review if the reviewer chooses to reflect a later resolution, without pressure from the merchant.

Prohibited content and conduct

• Fabricated reviews, purchased reviews, review exchanges, automated submissions and coordinated score manipulation.
• Content submitted in return for an undisclosed incentive or conditioned on a positive rating.
• Threats, hateful or discriminatory content, harassment, sexual exploitation, instructions for violence or other unlawful content.
• Spam, unrelated advertising, phishing, malicious links, impersonation or promotion of another business unrelated to the experience.
• Copyright-infringing material, trade secrets or personal data published without a lawful reason.
• Attempts by a merchant to pressure a reviewer to write, edit or delete content, or retaliation for a negative review.

Fair invitations by merchants

Merchants must invite customers using neutral language and a consistent process. Invitation selection must not depend on predicted satisfaction, star rating, complaint status or whether a refund was requested.

• Send no more invitations than reasonably necessary for one experience.
• Give the customer enough time to receive and use the product or service.
• Do not preselect a positive score or route unhappy customers away from the review form.
• Do not offer a benefit in exchange for a positive review, a change of rating or removal of criticism.

Merchant replies

A merchant may publicly reply but may not alter the reviewer’s words or score. Replies must be professional, relevant and free of unnecessary personal data. A reply must not expose private order details, threaten legal action as intimidation or misrepresent the moderation process.

Imported and translated content

Imported reviews must display or preserve their source where available. Euro.Reviews may distinguish imported content from reviews collected through its own verified invitations and may exclude it from scores, structured data or external feeds where provenance does not meet the applicable standard.

Translations are provided for accessibility. The original language remains authoritative. Machine translation may contain errors and may be corrected without changing the meaning of the original review.

Rights of reviewers

Reviewers may access the mechanisms provided to edit or delete their own review. They may report misuse, ask for correction of personal data and appeal a moderation decision. Removing an account or review does not necessarily remove copies already lawfully published by third parties, search engines or merchant systems.

Enforcement

Euro.Reviews may label, reduce distribution, temporarily restrict or remove content only under the published Moderation and Appeals Policy, applicable law or a valid request from the author. Repeated or serious misuse can lead to invitation restrictions, account suspension or preservation of evidence for authorities.
